Privacy policy
1. Introduction
Thank you for visiting our Web site. Your confidence in our service and our integrity are vitally importanty to us, so we are 100% committed to protecting the privacy and security of our customers. We have stringent policies and procedures - complying with the Data Protection Act 1998 - in order to protect the personal information we collect about you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collate and use that information.
2. About us
Resource Exchange is an integrated software house and printer, based in the Thames Valley. Our services are aimed at: 1) Art owners and art copyright holders, such as art galleries, artists, and professional photographers; 2) Collectors and art connoiseurs that want to buy high quality prints of fine art; 3) Consumers that want to buy high quality prints of their own photographs. Although our systems and staff are fully integrated across these three activities, we brand them separately - as Resource Exchange, Resex and MyPhotoPrint, respectively. We also have an equity or business interest in several intellectual property owners, looking after the commercialisation of their images.
3. Our Services
The Resource Exchange is a software house, developing Web sites and providing a range of Web based services, most of which are 'Closed User Groups', available through invitation only. These services are of a transactional nature and may be referred to herein as 'transactional services'. Resex, the printing division of the Resource Exchange, provides digital printing services to fine art galleries, professional photographers, photographic agencies, and artists. These services are for the supply of printed products and may be referred to herein as 'product services'. The only third parties involved in delivering any of these services are: Zen Internet Ltd, our ISP; BT PLC, our voice and data carrier; InWeb Ltd, our messaging operator; and WorldPay, our online payment processor.
4. Customer information we collect
We collect the minimum information we need to provide a high quality service. This always includes your name, telephone number and email address. It may also include other contact details, your employer's details, and certain technical information such as your IP address, hostname, browser version, Javascript facilities and use of our service. When you register for any of our transactional services, or are nominated to do so, a unique username and password will be provided to enable your to access the transactional parts of our Web sites. This also applies to our printing partners (galleries, artists, and so on), but not to our print customers.

Some of our Web based services allow our customers to store private information about each other. Typically, this might include previously arranged bilateral pricing information and previous usage experience, but it could be anything. This private information is only available to the customer that created it and anyone they authorise to see it. Resource Exchange does not have access to this information, other than for data integrity purposes (that is, we back it up). Our transactional systems also allow our customers to provide, store and share information about themselves with their customers. This public information is restricted to the scope of the service to which they subscribe - that is, people in the same firm or organisation in the case of the Capacity Exchange, trusted nominees in the case of the Freelance Exchange and the Contract Store, or potentially everyone in the case of the Timetable Store and the List Store.

Resex only store enough information about print customers to deliver goods to the right place and process repeat orders, returns and chargebacks.

We do not store customer bank account details, credit card details, and/or debit card details. Indeed, we never see any such information: if needed to pay for our goods or services, it is provided directly to Worldpay (a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland PLC). We do not collect any sensitive personal information such as information on your racial or ethnic origins, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union affiliations, sexual life, health or criminal history.
